Morning time plans

I'm not the first to post this as a prayer for 2015, but it's so excellent I wanted to mark it down.

O Lord,
I launch my bark on the unknown waters of this year,
with Thee, O Father as my harbour,
Thee, O Son, at my helm,
Thee O Holy Spirit, filling my sails.
Guide me to heaven with my loins girt,
my lamp burning,
my ear open to Thy calls,
my heart full of love,
my soul free.
Give me Thy grace to sanctify me,
Thy comforts to cheer,
Thy wisdom to teach,
Thy right hand to guide,
Thy counsel to instruct,
Thy law to judge,
Thy presence to stabilize.
May Thy fear be my awe,
Thy triumphs my joy.
Length of days does not profit me except the days are passed in Thy presence,
in Thy service,
to Thy glory.
Give me a grace that precedes, follows, guides, sustains, sanctifies, aids every hour,
that I may not be one moment apart from Thee,
but may rely on Thy Spirit
to supply every thought,
speak in every word,
direct every step,
prosper every work,
build up every mote of faith,
and give me a desire to show forth Thy praise;
testify Thy love,
and advance Thy kingdom.

From a collection of Puritan prayers in The Valley of Vision.

May our 2015 be filled with Christ exalting lives, for His honor and glory.

Ok, so most of the photos are terrible, but terrible photos = wonderful time.  The kids were not really into posing sweetly for pictures when there as so much fun to be had.
What a blessed Christmas we had, spoiled on Christmas day, spoiled with a mini mountain holiday, spoiled with good food and baking, spoiled with time playing games, singing carols, swimming, soft play, sleigh rides, reading stories, wood fires to stare into and sticker books.
A huge thank you to all who made it such a special few days.  We are blessed by you.

A few sneek peeks incase tomorrows party is a little busy for picture taking!!!

The theme is Princess and the Pea.......

 Our craft/take home bag prptotype

Which will contain 5 matresses of their choice, with a 'pea' and the yarn doll princess that we'll make.

And those beads from my wedding cake are still coming in handy.  Princess Felicity will be able to try and rest on this ice cream bed, 5 mattresses thick.  Hopes, 5, and that's the size that fits in my freezer.  Perfect.

Spot what's on the shelf below?

5 years ago today.......

5 years ago on a cold and snowy day a little girl was born at home.  We named her Hope Ruby and pray that she will learn to treasure the Hope of the world sent at Christmas time to be her Saviour.

She grew fast! Which is unusual for these Hindle babies and was soon one. We had a sledging and hot chocolate party that year and green and pink cupcakes.

Then we blinked or so it seemed and you were two  Lots happened that year and we took you to IKEA, shopped your pressies on the day and had cupcakes 2 weeks late.  I'm ashamed to admit I don't know where the pics are, or even if we have any.  As Mummy explained a lot happened that year!

The year you turned 3 you were so poorly that we had to cancel your party and put the cake into the freezer. But later in the week we celebrated the with the princess cake, a gaggle of friends and lots of fun.

Then you turned 4.  That year was colder than any other, and everyone got stuck in hideous traffic trying to get to the swimming pool.  But, we all had fun, swimming and playing and eating chilli at 9pm because we stayed at the pool long enough for everyone to  have a good time.

and so this year you turn 5.  On one hand it seems to have taken such a long time to get to this big number 5, but looking at the pictures I'm sure I just blinked.

We're all excited about your birthday, but sadly had to postpone your party till later in the week.  Somehow that happens around your birthday.  And once again your cake is in the freezer, but that's ok this year because it supposed to be.  Princess and the pea ice-cream cakes can wait until you are all better.

Hopie we love you.  Your sweet desire to really understand the gospel, your humble apologies and your leadership are an encouragement to me.  You truly love your siblings and play so well with the twins in particular the days just wouldn't be as amazing without you.
Have a wonderful year darling, learning and growing and singing.
We love you xxxxxx

Three years ago today......

 Our world changed,

Hosea

Phinn

Then we blinked and you were one.

And then we chased, wiped, trained, chased some more, played, read, and chased after even more and the you turned two.

We started your year off eating, and have pretty much continued to try and keep your belly's full since then.....a hard task I assure you!

This year you turn three, and for your birthday tomorrow I'm describing the celebrations as all things "boy".  They'll be dinosaurs, fire engines and cowboys, all things that you are growing to enjoy, although perhaps the favourite at the moment is being a cowboy.

Phinn you are my little early morning snuggle boy, and always do a little skip jump as you round the corner into the kitchen and blink in the light.  You love to play 'orsey' and 'dog' and 'cowboy' most often with your trusty side kick beside you.  You enjoy looking at books and I enjoy watching you looking at them and seeing you study the pictures.  Your eyes go big and you have a super sad face when something doesn't go your way.... but somehow it's endearing. I love the way you turn the face toward you of whoever you want to talk to, sweet soft hands on my cheeks.  Oh and you still love your thumb!

Hosea, you are my early morning grump, but oh the cuddles you give when you wish you were asleep are precious.  You too love to play horsey and cowboy and doggy, with your trusty side kick along for fun too.  Your new love is horse jumping and you are forever digging up stools and cushions and such to make a course.  Phinn loves to join you too, whooping and hollering the pair of you at the top of your lungs! Your bottom lip is a frequent visitor to your sweet face these days, and there's always an opposite coming from you too.  But, your great joy is to clown around and to make us all laugh and you do it so well.

Boys this year has been great for you.  Busy, best friends, who look out for one another and don't like to be apart.  When planning our gathering tomorrow there really was no one left to invite on the friends front as you really are each others bestie!

So my sweet small men, there is so much more to say, but the night is late and tomorrow will be a busy packed loud day (as always!).  You are very loved and a huge blessing to your Daddy and Mummy.

Love you Phinn.
Love you Zay.
So very much.
