Morning time plans

Eight years ago on a cold and snowy day a little girl was born at home.  We named her Hope Ruby and pray that she will learn to treasure the Hope of the world sent at Christmas time to be her Saviour.

She grew fast! Which is unusual for these Hindle babies and was soon one. We had a sledging and hot chocolate party that year and green and pink cupcakes.

Then we blinked or so it seemed and you were two  Lots happened that year and we took you to IKEA, shopped your pressies on the day and had cupcakes 2 weeks late.  I'm ashamed to admit I don't know where the pics are, or even if we have any.  As Mummy explained a lot happened that year!

The year you turned 3 you were so poorly that we had to cancel your party and put the cake into the freezer. But later in the week we celebrated the with the princess cake, a gaggle of friends and lots of fun.

Then you turned 4.  That year was colder than any other, and everyone got stuck in hideous traffic trying to get to the swimming pool.  But, we all had fun, swimming and playing and eating chilli at 9pm because we stayed at the pool long enough for everyone to  have a good time.

And then you turned 5.  That was the year we had the Princess and the pea cake and Mummy forgot to put the pea on!

And then you turned six.  We had an ice-cream social for your birthday that year, and it was so fun to play and eat all things ice-cream.

And then you turned seven.  That was the year we went back to the pool, swimming party number two :)

and then eight!

After the party ended we grabbed warm clothes and headed out in the dark to go Christmas tree hunting!  It was the beginning of a new birthday tradition.

We tried to do it after your 9th birthday party too.  But due to a badly placed snow bank we ended up leaving the beautiful tree and our vehicle in the forest for collection another day! We made new memories today, but perhaps we don't need this as a new tradition.

Hope you have had a year of very great losses, and I have been so encouraged by the way you are learning to deal with things, and to trust God, whether we are in time of ease or great need.  Press into God and his word sweet girl, He is faithful and trustworthy.

We love you very much.  Happy 9th birthday xxx
And so tomorrow you turn 8.  Old enough to be allowed to swim away from us at the pool.  I know you have been looking forward to that.
You were born on a cold and snowy day.  And today is set to be double digits, and there is hardly any snow on the ground.  It is such a different day, and you are such a different girl.  I wonder what this year will hold for you sweet girl.  So much delights you, and we are delighted that you are a part of our family.

Seven years ago today.....

Our worlds changed, and two small boys were born.

Then we blinked and you turned one......

And then we chased, wiped, trained, chased some more, played, read, and chased after even more and then you turned two.

Somehow you made it to three.....

And then four....

And then five...…

And then six……

Its been a rollercoaster of a year.  We have all been learning how precious time is.  And these two make the time even more precious.
I can hardly believe that it was seven years ago that we met you that Monday night.  You have changed our lives Phinn and Zay and that will always make your Mama so happy.

Five years ago today........

This sweet baby was born.....

He grew far too fast and was soon one

And then two...…

And now today it is a whole hand of five years old!
Now that is something.   Especially to you John.  You who have made a plan for a treasure cake, and who's only other desire was to have your Holly and your Zeke around for your party!

May this year hold much joy sweet boy.  You bring so much into our lives, and we love that you are getting on with the adventures of growing up.  Almost as much as your Mama hates the adventures of you, or any of your siblings growing up.

Lets go hunt treasure together today!

11 years ago. Yes. 11!!

A tiny girl was born.......

 Then seven.......

 Then eight.....................

And then 10.....

Heidi,
You have been a delight.
You are a delight.
And we are so looking forward to enjoying this the year you spend being 11.  Wow, that is an awkward sentence.
As you look toward the coming year, I want to remind you of this scripture from Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Justice, kindness and humility.
Mummy will be praying for you that you will continue to grow in these things this coming year.
We love you so much Heidi girl xxxx

Chinook fun

-2
Sun
No wind
3 hours in the fresh air and going up and down a hill
and up and down the hill
and up and down the hill
you get the idea.

We limped home, soggy, tired and with a small boy crying he wanted to sled, he hadn't had enough time.
Ha!
180 mins is time enough

Grace upon grace.
